The Opening Ceremony of the Website of Expo Center China was held in Changsha International Convention & Exhibition Center, Hunan, in the morning on Sept. 28. Mr. Jiang Zengwei, Vice Minister of Commerce, attended the ceremony and clicked to open the Website.
The Website of Expo Center China was an online platform for the Expo, its main functions were to serve the Expo, timely and completely publish the authoritative information about the Expo and provide convenient and effective online services for people to take part in the exhibition.
The Website was launched to operate on July 1, 2006 as a trial, in the past 3 months, total a thousand information on the Expo were published on the website, offering online services to about 20 thousand visitors and exhibitors, establishing special columns like database for investment invitation projects and for supply and demand information, and becoming a characteristic of the Expo.
After the successful closing of the Expo, the Website would maintain focusing on the theme of Rising of Central China, and become the "no-dropped curtain" Expo online to attract more foreign investment, expand trade and push forward tourism service for 6 provinces in Central China.
He Tongxin, Vice Governor of Hunan Province, Shi Jichun, Vice Governor of Henan Province, members of the organizing committee, representatives from news media, totaling more than 200 people, took part in the opening ceremony.
