The 7th China International Machinery & Electronic Products Expo was held in Wuhan International Conference & Exhibition Center on Sept. 23, Mr. Jiang Zengwei, Vice Minister of Commerce, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
Taking the opportunity of the important strategy of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on promotion of Rising of the Central China and focusing on the establishment of modern equipment manufacturing basis and promotion of proprietary brand, the Expo newly set up an exhibition hall of shipbuilding industry and formed primarily a pattern with 5 professional exhibitions, namely, equipment manufacturing exhibition, industrial control exhibition engineering machinery exhibition, electronic information exhibition and shipbuilding industry exhibition, the area amounted to 35 thousand sq.m, the internationalization of the Hall was further improved and totally 537 Chinese and foreign enterprises applied to take part in the Expo. Special exhibition booths accounted for 45%, of which 192 were overseas enterprises, up by 20%. International famous enterprises like Siemens, OBO, Bosch, Hardinge, Fluke and Hitachi, and domestic enterprises with famous proprietary brands such as Shenyang Machine Tool(Group) Co., Ltd. took part in the Expo.
