Vice Minister of Commerce Jiang Zengwei attended China High-level Forum on Intellectual Property Rights Protection 2006

Director of State Office of Intellectual Property Protection and Vice Minister of Commerce Jiang Zengwei attended China High-level Forum on Intellectual Property Rights Protection 2006 held in the Great Hall of the People on April 26, the World Intellectual Property Day, and declared the opening of the website “Intellectual Property Protection in China” (www.ipr.gov.cn).

“Intellectual Property Protection in China” is sponsored by National Working Group for IPR Protection and Ministry of Commerce of the P.R.C. The purposes of this website in both Chinese and English, are that on the basis of Internet, it reflects the developments and affairs on IPR protection of State Office of Intellectual Property Protection of the P.R.C, members of National Working Group for IPR Protection and local IPR-related governmental departments; displays to the world the improvements and information of IPR protection in China; publicizes the knowledge about IPR; provides online services to the whole society; and follows the international IPR development.

The following distinguished guests were also present: Director of the State Intellectual Property Office Tian Lipu, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce Li Dongsheng, Parliamentary State Secretary in the German Ministry of Economics and Technology Mr. Hartmut Schauerte, American Coordinator for International Intellectual Property Enforcement Mr. Chris Israel, etc. Secretary-General of State Office of Intellectual Property Protection Xiang Xin presided over the opening ceremony.
